I've given the ULTIMATE teaser. My spohomores are a little upset with me at this point, but...they;ll live over it. I gave them a great project, plenty of reward, and dangled carrot after carrot to let them know what they would possibly get. THEN - after all that, I told them how we were going to do teams this term. I'm not selecting them, they are. However, it isn't in a way that they had done before. I am sick and tired of picking teams based on "buddies" and one or two groups being super superior to others. So, we three teams, there will be a draft!

I have three captains selected, and one of them will get the choice of 1st or 3rd pick. It will be an up/down selction process. The first pick gets the 1st pick, but pick 3 gets pick 4 as well, and the 1st pick doesn't get anyone until pick 6. Big decision there.

I think what is driving them crazy is that they don't know who the captains are. They can't go and "buddy up" with anyone to make sure they get picked. I think that is the hard part for them all. There won't be any "politicing" a draft pick, because nobody knows who is drafting and what that order is. I have heard from 3 or 4 students already.

So, either I have pissed them off, or sent the ultimate teaser...I'm not real sure which it is!!!
